Pacci Clip!! Simple!

May 13, 2010Pacifier Clip Tutorial!

I didn't realize when I started this project that there were 400 other tutorials on the same thing. (oops!) But at least this tutorial is a little different-because you can make eight of them for $1! And cheap makes me happy. :o)

You'll need:

fabric scraps

ribbon or elastic scraps

felt scraps

a metal clip
1. Cut a 9" x 2.5" scrap of fabric, fold it over with right sides facing, and sew down one side.

This is from Ruffles ans Stuff.

You'll need:

fabric scraps

ribbon or elastic scraps

felt scraps

a metal clip

1. Cut a 9" x 2.5" scrap of fabric, fold it over with right sides facing, and sew down one side.

2. Turn right-side-out and fold under one end and pin.

3. Top stitch around three of the four ends, including your pinned edge, leaving the other end open.

4. Cut a 4" length of thin ribbon or elastic and pin the two ends inside your open seam, then sew it closed.

5. Pick up some clips. I used these ironing board clips from the Dollar Tree-8 for $1!

6. Use a butter knife or screwdriver to gently lift the tabs of the clips, and remove the elastic, replacing with the hemmed edge of your fabric strip. Bend the tabs back and firmly clamp them closed.

7. If you want to add something fancy, cut out some felt shapes and stitch them together with embroidery thread (or four layers of sewing thread), then stitch them to the end of the fabric strip or ribbon, covering the top of the metal clip.

And of course, you can use a 9" length of ribbon instead of fabric, which makes it even more quick and easy!

Cutting out the little shapes is so fun!

(Because of choking hazards, I would not recommend using buttons, or anything that could be popped off by little fingers!)

(I solicited of the mommies at church for a model-isn't she a little punkin??

Sweet baby!)

I really need one of these....think I could get away with it??

Yeah, probably not. ;o)
